Intensive Services
Intensive Services foster care is designed to meet the higher level of care and supervision needs of clients who present more challenging behaviors. Children in foster care have been through various forms of trauma, some more than others. This trauma often affects their ability to function appropriately in “everyday” situations. Children who have been more severely traumatized need more attention and accommodations in order to rehabilitate. In addition to the services received in standard foster care, services involved in Intensive Services require;
-
Specialized training
-
Extra home visits from agency social worker when needed
-
Behavioral support services
-
Individual/group counseling in the foster home
-
Medication management support
-
24/7 crisis intervention
-
Higher rate reimbursement
