What Accreditation Means for Families
At CSKF, we are committed to providing high-quality, compassionate, and accountable care to the children and families we serve. That commitment is reflected in our achievement of a Three-Year Accreditation through CARF International —the highest level of accreditation awarded by CARF.
Why It Matters
CARF accreditation is an internationally recognized process that evaluates organizations against rigorous standards related to service quality, leadership, safety, outcomes, and continuous improvement. The accreditation process includes an in-depth review of organizational practices, policies, service delivery, documentation, leadership structure, stakeholder feedback, and direct observations of operations and care.
What CARF Thinks of CSKF
As part of the survey process, CARF conducted:
-
Confidential interviews and direct interactions
-
Observations of service delivery practices
-
Reviews of organizational and clinical documentation
-
Evaluations of program outcomes and performance improvement efforts
-
Discussions with leadership, staff, community stakeholders, and persons served
Following its review, CARF concluded that CSKF demonstrated “substantial conformance to the standards” and recognized the organization for its strong commitment to quality improvement and service excellence.
Among the organization’s noted strengths, CARF shared:
“The leadership is innovative, creative, and committed to providing services that produce the best possible outcomes for the youths and families served.”
The report also highlighted the culture within CSKF, noting:
“Many leadership and staff members have long tenure with CSKF, which is testament to the good work the organization is doing within the community.”
CARF further recognized the meaningful relationships built throughout the organization:
“Staff members freely expressed how much they enjoy being a part of the organization.”
The survey also acknowledged CSKF’s collaborative and responsive approach to care, emphasizing the organization’s dedication to engaging foster families, biological families, and community stakeholders to strengthen outcomes for youth and families.
